ICA UPDATE: St. Catherine’s has only reached 71% of its goal of $11,256, with 27% of our parish families having pledged. As a reminder, if we don’t reach our goal, the church is obligated to pay the deficit. On the other hand, if we exceed our goal, we will be rebated the overage!What Does The Idaho Cathollic Appeal Fund?
Holy Father: Each year our Diocese gives to “Peter’s Pence,” the Pope’s request for funding to help with the expenses of operating the Universal Church. Our funds help Pope Francis in his many works to strengthen our Church and maintain her presence throughout the world."As I have loved you, so you also should love one another." John 12:34he 2025 Idaho Catholic Appeal will take place next weekend. The Appeal provides support for over 20 ministries of our diocese including the Clergy Special Needs, Seminarian Vocations Program, Deacon and Lay Ministries Formation Program, Catholic Charities of Idaho, and Catechesis Office. These ministries help all parishes and missions throughout the State of Idaho that makeup our diocese.
The goal for this year’s Appeal is $3.6 Million. St. Catherine’s goal is $11,256 and St. Blanche’s goal is $9,027. Once we reach 100% of our goal, we will receive back all funds collected over that amount.

This year’s theme is Called to be Saints. As Catholics, our hope comes from Christ’s resurrection and placing our trust in God’s promises. Yet, there are so many people in the world today who do not know the love of God. The Lord sends us forth to spread His Gospel and share His love. When we do this, that love not only transforms and brings hope to the world around us, but it also transforms and changes us.
